  1. I definitely believe that rap is an extension of black tradition and is primarily used by the young. Though I can not agree that the male dominates rap but I can agree that the rhythm of rap music sounds like protest. Additionally, 'the world greatest boxer of all times', Muhammad Ali's chants and raps always promoted a protest or boast. I think some rap is cool and other maybe degrading. I think it depends on the frame of mind or point the rapper is trying to convey.
